We are HALFWAY through the fantasy regular season! Not only does it amaze me how fast the season goes every year, but so does the amount of down-to-the-wire thrilling finishes on any given matchup. Week 7 had another exciting matchup that came down to Monday night, which will be highlighted quickly now.
Honorable Mention Matchup of the Week
Thunder Edge Prairie Dawgs in Nailbiter, 126.06 – 125.16
For the third time in as many weeks, the Thunder found themselves sweating it out on late Monday night. Entering the evening down three points with Tanner McKee and CeeDee Lamb (but going up against Dak Prescott), the Thunder trailed for most of the night until McKee threw for a touchdown late in the third quarter. A Prescott passing TD to (thankfully) Lamb, kept the matchup in favor of the Thunder. That was short lived, as a McKee interception gave the lead back to the Dawgs!
Nick had the lead late in the fourth quarter, ready to hand the Thunder their third straight loss on Monday night. But McKee came through! The additional passing yards from McKee was enough to put the Thunder ahead for good by the slimmest of margins! If Nick wants to be upset by anyone, how about the Saints defense for jumping offside and taking a late Chris Boswell field goal off the board in Paris? Because that would have been the difference in giving Nick the win.
QUICK RECAPS
Piranhas end Misfits perfect season, 155-104
This was one of the “up” weeks for Jordan as he continues his up and down 2026 campaign. Burrow, Jameson Williams, and Kyren all scored over 18 to get a much needed win.
Just like that the undefeated season is over. Half the roster scored in single digits including last minute Sunday morning pickup – the Panthers defense. -5.5 points later and it was one of the worst pickups on the year.
Squatches take out HSG, 133-117
This team keeps on winning despite the injuries sustained through seven weeks. McBride, Em. Wilson, and Warren all scored over 17 to pick up a key win to remain near the top of the standings.
Six starters scored less than ten, yet Flowers, Love, Gibbs, and Javonte Williams helped this team to 117 points. Just imagine if he had some help with the rest of the roster.
Icecaps hold off Avalanche, 128-119
Stringing together two wins feels like a much needed boost after the September this team had. Having the Bears trio of Williams, Swift, and Burden are also important for the success of this squad going forward, as they combined for over 60 points in the victory over the Avalanche.
Erk thought he had a win with Patrick Mahomes and George Pickens left to play, but Mahomes scoring only six points was the killer. Leaving Tee Higgins (23) on the bench also hurt because swapping him out for starter Olave (7) could have easily flipped this outcome.
Sandstorms take it to GWW, 144-117
First 200 score of the season? At 144, not even close Logan. To be fair he was on an incredible pace after Tony Pollard (35) and Drake Maye (31), but that was about it. Still, it was an overall solid week.
Well, at least they won last week. GWW cannot find any momentum, as four players scored less than four points. Let’s hope the second half of the season is more successful than the first.
