No League Winners for You, Wrong B. Robinson, and an Erk Sighting in Chat!?

Just like that we are a quarter of the way into the season! To the surprise of absolutely no one, regret of median scoring is being thrown around. Who would have guessed?

On to the recaps!

RECAPS

Squatches win absolute thriller against Sandstorms 152-149

Hey, we’re good on a median. Half the roster scored single digits but it was the other five starters that dominated. Hurts (18), Stroud (27), Warren (16), TMAC (34), and Emmanuel Wilson (25) showed up in a big way and every point mattered in the closest matchup this season. Good times to be a Squatches fan.

That’s the WRONG B. ROBINSON! Why didn’t I vote for a median? I’m not sure Logan. Four starters scored over 25 but it was five starters scoring less than eight that did this team in. Bijan and Juwan Johnson made it quite interesting Monday night but fell just short by three points. Why couldn’t Bijan get one more touchdown? Does Brian Robinson really need three touchdowns? BTJ (7) instead of Josh Downs (1) would have also gotten the job done. Until then, we like that fantasy is all about luck, right Logan?

Misfits win again, beat Icecaps 128-121

4-0 sounds good doesn’t it? Kyren Williams (30) had a career day to help the Misfits be the lone undefeated team in the league. Half the starters scored less than ten, including three with two points. But I’d like to mention some bad money spending habits from this squad. They dropped Stevenson for Keenum ($15) -who didn’t play I might add. Then turned around and spent another $12 on Stevenson, THE GUY HE JUST DROPPED. Keep throwing money away Ben.

It gets worse for this team. Six starters scored less than 12 as Jack dropped his third straight matchup. But hey, at least Puka (21) is back. Rivalry week comes early next week against the Squatches.

Dawgs Pile on, take down GWW 129-98

Are the Prairie Dawgs going on a run? Outside of Hubbard (28), the team was underwhelming. But so was Galen’s team. With Hubbard on bye, Nick will need someone else to carry the torch in week 5. On to the next!

Welcome back Nico Collins (25) and… that’s it. Seven starters scored less than 11 including three with zero. It does not look promising for this 0-4 squad. Will they be making any moves this week?

Avalanche drown Piranhas, 150-111

Four starters scored over 19 including Mahomes, Taylor, Higgins, and Reichard. Even with Stafford and Houston defense combining for ten, Erk is back to .500. Plus, you know things are good when we get an Erk comment in the chat.

Half the roster was in single digits and no player scored over 17. That isn’t going to win you a lot of weeks. The good news is that Winston and Nabers showed signs of life that should give Jordan confidence in the coming weeks. Except that Nabers was just traded… more on this to follow.

HSG breeze past Thunder,143-104

An overall solid performance from Tim, with four starters over 17 points. It’s always good when your team combines for ten touchdowns. Also congrats Tim on your newborn!

Just not very good. Six starters scored single digits and not even Lamb’s 29 points chipped into the deficit. All things considered, 2-2 isn’t horrible.

WAIVER WIRE

Romeo Doubs – $10 (Ezra)

Browns defense – $8 (Ezra)

Will Shipley – $8 (Galen)

Nothing too crazy this week, lot of conservative bids. “People just don’t want league winners I guess”.

TRADE ALERT

Ben is sending Burrow, Kyren, and Jameson Williams to Jordan FOR Nix, CMC, and Nabers. Alrighty then.

CLOSING

On to week 5!

Cheers!
