There’s nothing quite like the highs and lows of fantasy. One week you think you have the best team in the league and the next week it completely flips, and it looks like you had a terrible draft. Don’t you love it?
Going into Monday night we had some tight matchups, but all ended up being blowouts in the end. On to the recaps!

Avalanche complete incredible comeback, knock off GWW 174-155
It’s not over until it’s over! Erk was facing a large deficit for most of the week AND most of Sunday. Going into the Sunday night game he needed some really solid performances from three players remaining. He got BETTER than solid performances from Mahomes (35), Taylor (28), and Stafford (34) to complete the epic comeback against GWW. Patience is a virtue Erk.

Where’s the league median? Guess we should have thought about that in July! Galen orchestrated a massive 104-12 lead after Goff (37), Cook (22), St. Brown (28), and Kincaid (17) went off on Thursday. So impressive that even fellow league mates were wishing him a nice weekend early. A little premature don’t you think? Ah, but don’t worry it had nothing to do with fantasy…. Sure.
Getting screwed by the schedulers early, GWW is 0-2 and hoping for the luck to change in his favor.
Misfits take out Sandstorms 153-128
49 points from Josh Allen set the tone Thursday as Ben never looked back. Kelce (19) and McLaughlin (17) also had quality weeks as they move to 2-0. The WR room scored less than five, but that’s not a problem when you have Allen.
Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on… Logan? The commitment and belief Logan has in Colston Loveland is quite impressive. Another week, another zero points. Purdy, K9, and DeVonta Smith all scored over 20 but just could not keep up with Josh Allen. You know what they say though… third times the charm!
HSG Rallies to beat Dawgs, 144-121
Thank you DaVante Adams (34). This was a close matchup headed into Monday, but Adams made sure it wasn’t. Outside of Gibbs and Patriots defense (20+) half the roster scored six or less. Hey, they’ll take 2-0 at any cost.
Six starters scored single digits as Nick fell short. Prescott (38), Hampton (18), and Chase (20) were the lone bright spots. While this showing is certainly more impressive than last week, let’s hope week three goes slightly better.
Squatches win in unimpressive fashion over Piranhas, 115-81
Both these teams would have been handed losses with a median this week, but who’s counting that!? Squatches had no one score more than 21 (Hurts) but didn’t need to do much to beat up on the Piranhas. Wins are wins.
Outside of CMC, it wasn’t promising. Seven starters scored singles digits including three players with zero. I expect this team to make some significant waiver moves this week, and maybe even some trades with the injuries facing this team.
Thunder handle Icecaps, 125-68
The 125 isn’t anything to brag about, but it’s a much better showing than last week. First two draft picks JSN (36) and Lamb (29) paved the way to the first win of the season. Half the roster still scored single digits but their opponent was nonexistent. 1-1 feels great after last week.
After scoring over 170 last week and looking unbeatable, this team mustered up… 68 points. Nine starters scored less than 11 points. It’s just not very good. Which team will we get in week three? Juggernaut or cellar dweller?
