Welcome to the playoffs! After 14 grueling weeks, the matchups are set as we begin the journey to crown our 2025 Books Boss League Champion! Who will it be?
On to the recaps!
QUICK RECAPS OF WEEK 14
On the leg of Cameron Dicker and five turnovers from Jalen Hurts, the Thunder completed what seemed to be an improbable win against the Squatches late on Monday night. Only having a 13-point lead with Cameron Dicker to go, the Thunder faced Jalen Hurts AND Omarion Hampton. Cue circus music. Jalen Hurts committed five turnovers (including twice in one play!) on route to zero fantasy points while Hampton scored 14. The hero Cameron Dicker scored 22 to give the Thunder the win and the first-round bye.
The one-time Jack needed Jalen Hurts to just have a normal game, Hurts let him down and the Icecaps lost the opportunity for the bye. In his specific matchup, the Icecaps got the best of GWW in a 130-111 win, setting up a rematch this week.
The Avalanche put up 155 to take out HSG in a preview of the consolation first round. Shoutout Darnold and JSN for combining for 52!
The Piranhas narrowly edged the Sandstorms to keep the momentum rolling into the postseason. Let’s hope De’Von Achane is okay!
The Misfits rolled through the Dawgs 149-78, not too much to write about here.
On to the write ups!
THE BYES
MISFITS
The league’s highest scorer with the best record, this team is clearly the favorite to win it all. After wheeling and dealing throughout the year, this team certainly has the firepower to raise their first banner in franchise history, and silence the doubters.
THUNDER
After scuffling for two weeks, the Thunder got back on track to earn the coveted first round bye, with a win thanks to Cameron Dicker. Winning just last season, the Thunder are looking to become the first franchise to win Back-to-Back League Championships. They will go as far as Josh Allen will take them.
THE QUARTERFINALS
ICECAPS VS. GALENSWINNINGWINNERS
A rematch of just last week, only this time it means more! The Icecaps have won both matchups, including a week 5, 159-138 victory.
The Icecaps are riding a three-game winning streak, and if not for Jalen Hurts scoring zero points, they would have the bye this week. Nonetheless, the Icecaps are looking for their second championship after raising the banner in 2020. Scoring the second most points in the league, this team is capable of doing just that.
GWW is looking for their first ten-team championship this season, and have some key pieces in place to make a run. It’s going to be up to his supporting cast of players he pairs with CMC, Jacobs, and Mahomes in order to make a run. Although, we’re going to need more than the five points Mahomes got last week.
PIRANHAS VS. SQUATCHES
A week after scoring 170, the Piranhas scored 112. This type of unpredictability is not helpful come December football. Also having the key pieces to make a run including, Prescott, Chase, Achane, and “now” Christian Watson, the Piranhas are looking for their first league title. Let’s not forget about stashed Mike Evans on IR. Here’s a question, if Mike Evans is active this week, will Jordan start him on Thursday? Guess we will find out.
Well, if anyone wants to root for an underdog, this is your team. The Squatches have the least points scored out of all the playoff teams, and have the least points allowed in the entire league! Talk about an easy schedule! But my question is, who’s left? Add Daniel Jones to the list of season ending injuries this team has sustained. It’s actually quite astonishing how this team has kept pushing forward despite all of the setbacks throughout the season, including seven season ending injuries and three more longer term injuries. The Squatches will look to surprise everyone (probably even themselves) and win their third league championship.

Ben takes the top spot in the final power rankings! Power rankings take into effect points and record.

- Galen, 16-12
- Ezra, 15-13

If this was the case, The Thunder would battle the Squatches and the Piranhas would take on GWW for the Quarterfinals this week.
Waiver Wire Update
Out of NOWHERE! Tim (who is not in the playoffs AND not playing this week) elected to spend all $76 on Shedeur Sanders! Someone really doesn’t want to wear the bacon suit in January.
No one could have predicted the $76 bid from eliminated Tim, making the $22 bid from Ezra have no chance. So much for emptying the wallet this week.
On to the Quarterfinals and Week 15!
After 14 weeks we finally made the playoffs. Good luck to all!
Cheers!
