Only three weeks remain in the regular season!
On to the recaps!
Piranhas Edge GWW in Thriller, 128-124
In the closest matchup of the week, every touchdown was needed for the Piranhas to earn this win. Shockingly, of all the eight position players that played on Sunday, no touchdowns were scored. All touchdowns were scored either on Thursday or Monday night by Henderson and Prescott. Henderson (28), Prescott (32), paired with Achane (21), and Jordan was able to withstand a late push from GWW. Quietly, this team was worked its way into third place at 7-4. A big matchup against the 7-4 Squatches are on tap this week.
We’re not going to make this about Lawrence (17), who was benched in favor of Tua (6) on Galen’s roster. Outside of CMC (33), the starters scores ranged from 5-15. Josh Jacobs getting injured certainly didn’t help but that hasn’t stopped the Squatches. It was a very average week and unfortunately, average would have beaten five other teams this week, just not the Piranhas. But remember, this is NOT about Tua or Lawrence start/sit.
Sandstorms Erupt for Huge Win Over Icecaps, 163-119
Wow. Where did this come from? The absolute best performance of the year for Logan helped him grab his second win of the season. McMillan (27), Will Lutz (19), Tracy (16) and Chase Brown (16) all played a role in the big upset. With the win and a couple other losses, the Sandstorms are still in the playoff hunt.
It wasn’t the greatest weekend for Jack. Kittle (20), Collins (18), Cook (18), and Pineiro (14) could not pick up the slack for Lamar Jackson (1). Many teams had a bad day, but only one lost to the Sandstorms. After back-to-back losses, the Icecaps now find themselves at 6-5 and fifth place in the standings.
Misfits Survive Avalanche in Matchup of the Week Snoozer, 103-83
A week after scoring over 200, the Misfits barely scored over 100, as they squeezed past the Avalanche. Outside of newly acquired Trey McBride (19), there wasn’t a lot of excitement around the team, as eight starters scored less than 12 points. Still having a firm points lead at the top of the standings, it is still yet to be seen if last week’s trade will lead this team to their first Title.
The weekend got off to a bad start when Erk left an inactive Brian Thomas in the lineup. Seven additional starters scored less than 12 points, cementing the week as a bad one for the Avalanche. The only issue this week was that the Jaguars played at 1pm EST, so we can’t blame the international game as the reason Erk did not adjust his lineup. Only two games out of the playoffs, the Avalanche still have a chance to make a run these next three weeks.
Squatches Somehow Win Again, This Time over Dawgs in Another Snoozer, 105-82
At this point, it’s not even about who he starts or sits, sometimes people just want to feel heard and validated. We hear you, and we see you Ezra. The Squatches have battled the most injuries throughout the year, yet find themselves at 7-4 and in fourth place in the league standings. Bitten by the injury bug once again with Penix, Demercado, Ridley and Vidal for a brief moment, the Squatches keep finding ways to win. The 105 would have only beaten three other teams this week, so for the second week in a row, the yahoo schedulers have favored the Squatches. As mentioned, a big matchup with the Piranhas awaits.
“My team decided to take a vacation this week”. They sure did, Nick. Eight players scored single digits, and the highest scorer was Gibbs with 18. Despite this, the Dawgs are tied for the sixth and final playoff spot with GWW, and sit about 150 points behind, currently in seventh place. Guess what? GWW plays the top ranked Misfits and the Dawgs get the 10 ranked Sandstorms. It should be a interesting week coming up.
Thunder Survive Run From HSG, 146-125
Josh Allen (49) single-handedly won this matchup. The rest of the lineup was basically average with half the roster in single digits, but it was Allen’s heroics who carried this team to their ninth win of the season, putting them in second place in the standings.
Credit to Tim, he put together a solid week after trading for Bijan (29), and starting Etienne (20). The problem was that five starters scored less than six points and could not overcome the ridiculous showing that Josh Allen put together. At two wins with Logan, this team is technically not out of the playoff picture, and needs a lot to happen to get there.

Waiver Wire Update
Ezra still has no idea how to guess on what to bid on players. Spending another $10 on Kirk Cousins (next closest offer was $1), he spent another $7 on the Raiders (no other offer). That is what makes the FAB system fun!
On to Week 12
Cheers!
