“My teams a disaster.”
It’s alright Logan, there will be better days ahead. Well, you will have to make some roster adjustments first.
On to the recaps!
Misfits Blow Out GWW, 163-96
This team might just be the team to beat now. Never scoring lower than 135 this season, the Misfits are forming a formidable squad. Led by Caleb Williams (37), Jonathan Taylor (31) and the Seattle defense (22). Is this the year we stop making fun of Ben’s teams?
It’s hard to win when you score less than 100. Six starters scored less than ten points, and the Colts defense (18) was the highest scorer. It also doesn’t help when your QBs, Mahomes (15), and Lawrence (8) combine for 23 points. Not a good week. Back to back weeks the yahoo matchup of the week flops. Come on yahoo.
Squatches Handle Piranhas, 141-91
Jalen Hurts is a Dawg. His 37 along with Hampton’s 21, and Dobbins 15 was almost enough to beat the Piranhas alone. Well not quite but it seemed that way. Even though Skattebo was benched (21), it wasn’t even a problem to consider sweating. The only issue was starting Penix (-1). No harm no foul.
Here’s another team that couldn’t crack 100. How’s that $23 bid for Browning look now? It didn’t pay off this week, but you gotta look at the big picture. At least, that’s what Jordan is telling his team after falling to 1-2. No starters scored over 15. There’s hope next week right?
Thunder Breeze Past Avalanche, 164-122
With four starters over 21 including Allen, Maye, Williams and Mason, it ended up being a runaway against the Avalanche. At 3-0, this team has made an early statement along with the Misfits.
The Vikings defense (32) kept this team in it all through Sunday with a dominating performance against $23 Jake Browning. The bad news is no other performances got close to helping. Half the roster scored less than eight points. It doesn’t help when Malik Nabers doesn’t get his first target until the fourth quarter. I will also ask once again, where is Brian Thomas??
Icecaps Roll HSG, 167-110
This is one of the other teams who has put themselves at the top of the league. It was actually an average performance until Jackson (34) and Montgomery (30) pushed this team to be the highest scoring squad on Monday night. Along with James Cook (20), the Icecaps should have the league worried going forward.
“Alright. I’m serious about trading this week.” We’ll see Tim. After this performance, HSG is 0-3. Outside of the Chiefs defense (17), and St. Brown (18), no starter scored more than 14. Over the past two weeks, this team hasn’t scored more than 111. But the real question is, would Tim do a team swap with Logan?
Prairie Dawgs put Sandstorms in a Bad Place, Win 130-86
To the surprise of many, especially Ezra, this team is 2-1. The Steelers defense (18) shined and was the second highest scorer after Carson Wentz (19). After losing Joe Burrow and JJ McCarthy last week, they grabbed Wentz (with no FAB dollars I might add) and got a win against the worst team in the league. Despite being in the bottom third of the league in scoring, they will take 2-1 into week four.
This is not good. Six starters scored less than ten points in the 86-point performance. What’s more concerning is that through the first three weeks, the Sandstorms haven’t cracked the 108-point mark. Now with Lamb injured, I’d expect this team to make some major shake-ups to this roster. We must ask ourselves, would Tim do a team swap?
Waiver Wire Update
If $23 on Jake Browning wasn’t enough, Jordan elected to put in $13 on Jaxson Dart this week. Also of note, after dropping the Denver defense on Sunday, Galen put in a $6 bid just to re-claim them. What a great way to spend money!
On to Week 4
Cheers!
