Watch me, quick push that trade through, and I can type how I want to!

It’s why we play the game! The Falcons signed up for all 60 minutes on Monday night, stunning the Eagles in a thriller. The Eagles had been running the ball pretty effectively the entire drive and on one final routine 3rd and 3 play, it appeared the Eagles were going to get the first down and end the game.

NOT SO FAST. One dropped pass later by Barkley and new life was given to the Falcons. That new life was also given to the Squatches. With the Icecaps up five points, a first down from the Eagles would have sealed the win for them. Enter Kirko.

“WATCH ME”. Having a relatively modest night, Kirk Cousins went down the field with EASE with 1:39 on the clock to score a touchdown to not only put the Falcons ahead, but to give the Squatches a thrilling win!

On to the recaps!

Squatches stun Icecaps thanks to Falcons heroics, 108-105

Big Kirko to the rescue! Phoning it in on Kirk Cousins midway through the third quarter and sending memes on how bad Cousins has been this season in the group chat, Ezra planned on starting 0-2. Then, there was hope. A glimmer of hope after a Barkley drop, and the rest is history. The 108 points was still terrible and four starters scored less than five points. But as we learned last week, even a snoozefest can be exciting.

Pain. Agony. Defeat. As mentioned above, it appeared the Icecaps had the win in hand, only needing a first down from the Eagles to ice the matchup. That did not happen and this team is 0-2 to start the season. The question is did they deserve to win? No, no they didn’t, scoring the second lowest point total of the week. Six starters scored less than ten points, including another poor outing from Jared Goff (9). Is it time to believe Yahoo has predicted this team as a non-playoff team correctly? Averaging 107 points a week won’t get it done.

GWW gets back in win column with win against Avalanche, 131-123

Frankly, there were some uninspiring starts this week. However, there was one extremely inspiring start in Kyler Murray (35). Remember when they benched Xavier Worthy last week? Well they started him this week (after failing to find a trade I might add) and he scored two points. To add to this, he benched DK Metcalf (19). So yeah, still struggling on the start/sits. Galen will take the 1-1 start though.

When your tight end gets an injury in warmups and is declared out, you knew it wasn’t going to be a great day. Honestly though, the avenue to win was there with solid performances from Jefferson (19), Jacobs (17) and Brian Robinson (16). The big zero from Evan Engram hurt since he wasn’t able to swap out a player in time but what other tight end could he have picked up to win? If he picks up Hunter Henry maybe were having a different discussion.

Sandstorms make a last-minute trade, beat Piranhas 164-119

One request, if you complete a trade, could you give me a little more than three minutes to push the trade through? Luckily I was by my phone, but you’re cutting it really close Logan (and Ben). Acquiring Patrick Mahomes, Nico Collins and De’Andre Swift and trading away Amon Ra-St. Brown and Joe Mixon, those players certainly made an impact. Collins (22) was a big beneficiary in the lineup for the Sandstorms who put up a league high 164, with nine starters all scoring double figures. The confidence has gone straight to his head though because he can type messages however he wants! If he wants to write a haiku he can write a haiku.

Let him write how he wants to write Jordan! Jordan will have to wait until later in the year to shut down the constant heckling from the reigning BBL champion because this week wasn’t it. Generally, when you start off the week with Josh Allen, Tua and Tyreek Hill, you will strike fear into your opponent. The combined 20-point effort was not scary at all, however the Tua concussion injury was certainly scary. Look for Jordan to make some moves this week.

Thunder survive terrible mistake, destroy Dawgs 159-126

The Thunder scored in the top three total scores once again, but this time they were rewarded with a win. Getting 29 points from James Cook was a great start to the week and only got better on Sunday with Nabers (21) and Mason (18). Sure, the starters still scored 159, but there was a brutal sit decision with Alvin Kamara (44) on the bench. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen again.

4:47 PM ET. The brief moment in time when Nick had a chance. It looked like the Thunder had this thing wrapped up until Marvin Harrison decided to have 26 points in the FIRST QUARTER. A 44-yard Rashee Rice touchdown later and Nick was on pace to shock the Thunder with this torrid point scoring in the late window of games. The sad news is, Marvin Harrison would score zero points the rest of the game. The other bad news is that Nick has been struck with the injury bug in his first season back. McCaffrey, Higgins, Russell Wilson and now Isiah Pacheco are all out indefinitely. But don’t worry, it’s a new Nick everybody!

HSG takes out Misfits 123-90

Just when we all thought Tim would have the steal of the draft in Cooper Kupp, the injury bug strikes again! Now he will be out indefinitely with an injury as well. Hall (18), Godwin (19), Barkley (16) and the Steelers defense (17) helped pave the way for the 2-0 start from Hurts so Good. When will he learn that Derek Carr should be started and that the Saints are good? Carr (25) was on the bench but 2-0 still sounds great.

Oh man. Generally, last minute panic trades do not work out (may I refer to 2021 Ben Hipple). Yet, Ben went back to well and traded his second-round pick (Mahomes) and others for Amon Ra-St. Brown and Joe Mixon. Seems like a good trade, until it might not be. Both of those players left with injuries in week 2, stay tuned for those updates. It gets worse. Seven starters scored in single digits including Keon Coleman (0), third round pick reach Travis Kelce (0) and the Cowboys defense (-3). But hey first round pick Jalen Hurts looks like a great pick after he scored 28 points. That alone will not get it done. But please, I encourage you to give me more than three minutes to process any further trades.

Conclusion

On to week 3!

Cheers!
