If you are just going to order from a tablet, and then because the tablet is slow it accidently puts the order in twice, so when the person comes out with two orders when you only ordered one, which could have been solved by just talking to someone, why would you give them a tip? Ben made it clear he was not leaving a tip after his ordering fiasco.
All things considered Buffalo Wild Wings was a great location to host the 2024 Books Boss League Draft last weekend! Seven managers were present during the live draft making for a fun and memorable experience. The food was great too! Shoutout Buffalo Wild Wings for the complimentary draft board and championship ring!
The BBL enters its 11th season this year with every team prepared to raise the banner for 2024. But only one will, so who will it be?

GALENSWINNINGWINNERS
Yahoo draft grade: A+
Yahoo projection: 11-3
Yahoo loved this draft from Galen and while there is plenty of optimism around the squad, Galen was left wanting more at the draft. Realizing only at the end he had drafted three running backs in 16 rounds, he was eager to craft a trade right after the draft. He needs Jonathan Taylor and Jahmyr Gibbs to remain healthy all season to prove Yahoo right.
Most excited about: Kyler Murray
Draft Day steal: Stefon Diggs (9th round)
We will find out in week 1 if Galen is still excited about that Stefon Diggs pick. Perhaps he forgot that Nico Collins, Tank Dell, Joe Mixon and Dalton Schultz are all healthy on the Texans roster. I think he wants to believe that a 30-year old WR on his third team will be a consistent target for the Texans. We’ll see about that one.
Missing the podium last season with a 4th place finish, GWW will once again look to make the playoffs, but this time win his first 10-team championship.
AMAZON PIRANHAS
Yahoo draft grade: A+
Yahoo projection: 10-4
Yahoo also loved this draft, but then again CHAT GPT is generating these results so we have to wonder how accurate they will be. If you would have told Jordan he would be taking the 5th QB off the board, he probably would have been disappointed. Yet, the fifth QB off the board was Josh Allen, so I think Jordan will be fine.
Most excited about: Josh Allen
Draft day steal: Mike Evans (5th round)
Our top two drafters (according to Yahoo) are both excited about 30+ year old wide receivers. (Evans is 31). We can check back in on this later.
With a fifth place finish last season, the Piranhas are looking for their first championship this season.
MISTREATED MISFITS
Yahoo draft grade: A-
Yahoo projection: 10-4
Panicked. Scared. Traumatized. Uninformed. All things that should NOT be used to describe a manager on draft day. Yahoo loved this draft as well, but we are not sure why. With visions of Easton Stick and Bailey Zappe in his head, Ben wanted to secure the quarterback position this season. That in itself isn’t a terrible decision, but when you look at his draft board, you are left just shaking your head. Using four of his first eight picks on quarterbacks, depth at every other position is a major concern. For this team to be successful, they will need first and second round picks Jalen Hurts and Patrick Mahomes to carry, and I mean CARRY this team.
Most excited about: Hurts and Mahomes
Draft day steal: D’Andre Swift (7th round)
Ben will need Swift to be a draft day steal because Swift is currently the RB 1 on his roster. Finishing 8th last year, Ben will need to find some of that magic he had in his 2022 championship run, where he finished second.
PRAIRE DAWGS
Yahoo draft grade: B+
Yahoo projection: 10-4
Welcome back Nick Martin! After retiring in 2020, Martin makes a return to the BBL during the 2024 season well rested, rejuvenated and ready to etch his name in the record books… for positive reasons. Getting Christian McCaffrey at the second overall pick was a welcomed surprise as that selection was made so quickly the commissioner was still trying to find the Jalen Hurts sticker to put on the draft board.
Most excited about: Kyle Pitts
Draft day steal: Christian McCaffrey (second overall pick)
This is finally the Kyle Pitts breakout, or so we hope. Martin is really most excited about the FAB acquisition system for players this fall. Use that $100 wisely!
HURTS SO GOOD
Yahoo draft grade: B-
Yahoo projection: 8-6
Yahoo described this draft as “lukewarm”. Not great, but not bad either. Loading up on running backs in Breece Hall and Saquon Barkley, the running back room is set. The most questionable decision was passing on Josh Allen to take CJ Stroud but maybe he knows something we don’t.
Most excited about: Saquon Barkley
Draft day steal: Saquon Barkley (2nd round)
Can you tell Tim is an Eagles fan? Tim is very excited about Barkley in his new offense. After finishing ninth last year and avoiding last place, Tim will look to make a splash in the playoffs this season.
EVERGLADE SQUATCHES
Yahoo draft grade: C
Yahoo projection: 7-7
Ezra had a very average draft in Yahoo’s mind. All in on the Falcons this season, Bijan Robinson was taken off the board before Breece Hall. Inspired by the words of Kirk Cousins “watch me,” Ezra will put a lot of faith in the new look Falcons. Thankfully, Arthur Smith can ruin the Steelers offense now!
Draft day steal: Kirk Cousins (5th round)
“Watch me”. That’s all Ezra needed to hear down in Atlanta this summer. After winning a championship in 2022, Ezra followed that up with a last place finish in 2023. He’s hopeful this year is similar to 2022 for obvious reasons.
TUNDRA ICEACPS
Yahoo draft grade: D+
Yahoo projection: 5-9
Now we start getting into the teams that Yahoo hates and we are not sure why. Getting the Burrow-Chase stack will replicate last year’s Tua-Hill stack (which now belongs to Jordan). Getting the stamp of approval from the Buffalo Wild Wings manager, Jack was happy with how the draft played out.
Most excited about: Derrick Henry
Draft day steal: Jake Ferguson (9th round)
Derrick Henry in the Ravens running back friendly offense? Yeah that’s exciting. A tight end in the late rounds with top 5 upside? Yeah also exciting. Making the postseason in all but one season, I think Jack can ignore the Yahoo draft grades, what do they really know anyway?
ALPINE AVALANCHE
Yahoo draft grade: D
Yahoo projection: 4-10
Led by Justin Jefferson and Garrett Wilson, Erk drafted one of the best receiver tandems in the league. That was confirmed after taking Drake London in the fourth, making three of his first four picks receivers.
Draft day steal: Justin Herbert (7th round)
Paired with Dak Prescott, the Avalanche will look to build on the momentum from last season that saw them dominate the back half of the season to get them to a championship appearance. But hey, they made it to the championship after starting 0-6, anything can be done!
SAHARA SANDSTORMS
Yahoo draft grade: D
Yahoo projection: 4-10
According to Ezra this is “one of the most forgettable championships in league history”. Do you agree? Being a 2023 BBL Champion did not discourage Yahoo from destroying this draft. The ironic part about it is that the first ten rounds were auto drafted as Logan was spending a nice weekend in Jim Thorpe. So basically Yahoo hates its own auto picks. Hope you had a nice weekend Logan!
Draft day steal: Trey McBride (6th round)
The Yahoo auto drafters got this one right, selecting Trey McBride. Will the Sandstorms be the first team to repeat as Champions in the League? Yahoo surely doubts it.
TROPICAL THUNDER
Yahoo draft grade: D-
Yahoo projection: 1-13
Well, can we really trust Yahoo and Chat GPT with these projections? Yahoo hated this draft and has no faith in this team. There is one glaring issue though, there was no defense selected during the draft. A waiver wire pickup later and now the kicker position is empty for week 1. They still have some time, but they should probably look at sending out a full starting roster.
Most excited about: Anthony Richardson
Draft day steal: Malik Nabers
Anthony Richardson has a chance (a slim chance) to finish as the QB 1 while Nabers has a chance (also a slim chance) to finish as a top 24 WR. I will take those chances to prove Yahoo wrong!
