Fifteen weeks of grueling fantasy football has led to this! The Final Four of the BBL Lite prepares to battle it out for the second-ever league championship. This season was marked by trades, trades, and more trades by certain teams. This group has everything: “The Favorite”, “The Defending Champ”, “The Underdog”, and “The Waiver Wire Pro”. Here is the case for each team:
“The Favorite” (Country Roads take Mahomes – Owner: Tim Sokoloski)
Having scored 150 points more than any other team this year, this squad has simply been dominant. The QB duo of Mahomes/Allen has overpowered other teams week in and week out. In a year marked by transactions and trades, this team only had to make slight changes by making 19 moves on the year. There was some slight luck involved as they also faced the least points scored against this season. They have captured many records in the young leagues history such as most wins in a season and most points scored. Question is, can they win when it matters most?
“The Defending Champ” (Club Campbell – Owner: Dylan Campbell)
Coming into the season with a target on their back, this team decided to pave the way for their season by becoming a trade machine. No player on any roster was safe from the rumor mill as Club Campbell made an offer for seemingly any player with a heartbeat at some point during the season. The groundbreaking 86 transactions is a testament to this. This could be scrutinized but it has placed them in a position to win back-to-back championships. They absolutely annihilated their first round oppontent by over 65 points, blake’s team. One notable trade came at the expense of another finalist. They committed highway robbery by ripping away Justin Fields for basically nothing from the Santa Fe Sloths. The RB duo of Barkley and Henry has run over opposing defenses. But now we must find out if the so-called “talk of the town” can repeat history.
“The Underdog” (Santa Fe Sloths – Owner: Ezra Gorman)
Quite frankly, this team doesn’t belong here. They had the 3rd least amount of points scored this year and have question marks at many positions. That being said, here they are. The team advanced to the second round by dealing another heartbreaking loss to The Cob. Taking a major whiff on Russill Wilson became a clear mistake by this team. However, a recovery was made by getting Geno Smith and capitalizing on his up-start season. CMC and Kelce help to lead the charge for the Sloths. Even though the regular season could have gone much better, the Sloths have given themselves the chance to make another upset. Do they have it in them to keep proving the doubters wrong?
“The Waiver Wire Pro” (Kuppside Down – Owner: Trevor Hosler)
Losing your first round pick for the season is never a great feeling. This team experienced just that when superstar Cooper Kupp was placed on the IR. Instead of giving up, this team has continued to put together consistent efforts. This has been made possible by making lots of great moves during the season. The starting lineup features several great pickups such as Rhamondre Stevenson and Kenneth Walker III. Great decision making has kept this team from having to waive the white flag even when fellow fantasy stud Khalil Herbert was lost for the rest of the campaign. Will these moves result in a first addition to the trophy case?
