“Russ is really just that bad man” – Logan Sensenig
We all feel that. Hopefully that is the last prime time game involving the Broncos this season because I think I speak for everyone when I say the Broncos are a bad football team. Figure it out!
WINNERS
HSG
Winning by just over a point over the Sandstorms, HSG was sweating it out on Monday night especially since the game went into overtime. Closely watching Wilson and Ekeler’s every move, Tim was one person who was glad neither team got a first down in OT. Pittman and Barkley let the way as HSG moves to 3-3 on the year.
Pittman (17), Barkley (17) | Rodgers (12), CEH (4)
PIRANHAS
The Piranhas got their fifth win on the year scoring over 140 points taking down the lowest scoring team of the week in the Squatches (81). Allen and Burrow once again carried this team and combined for 72 points which was nearly half of the total points. McCaffrey put up 18 as the Piranhas continue to make their claim for the best team in the league.
Allen (34), Burrow (38), McCaffrey (18) | Jones (5), Wilson Jr. (1), Dallas defense (4)
MISFITS
The Misfits continued their winning ways with a win over the Avalanche. Mahomes, Lawrence, Sanders and Hill had great weeks to move to 4-2 on the season. Only four starters scored in single digits but they did not need to do much to beat the Avalanche who barely cracked 100. With this start, the Misfits have potentially erased any doubts after last year’s performance.
Lawrence (27), Sanders (14), Hill (22) | Evans (5), Higbee (0)
ICECAPS
Scoring 128 points, the Icecaps took down GWW and have quietly moved toward the top of the standings. Diggs, Stevenson, and last minute pickup Will Lutz gave the Icecaps great games to help them to their fourth win. Four starters scored in single digits but the Icecaps are sitting in a good position at 4-2.
Diggs (24), Stevenson (21), Lutz (15) | Metcalf (4) Sutton (1)
HCTM
Scoring 138 points, HCTM got another win this week beating the Thunder. Chase, Hall, Andrews and kicker Jason Myers led the way to get their fourth win of the year to move to 4-2. Four starters scored in single digits including -4 from the Jacksonville defense, otherwise it was a solid week.
Chase (26), Hall (20), Andrews (19), Myers (14) | McLaurin (6), Jacksonville (-4)
LOSERS
SANDSTORMS
Sick and tired of being consistently let down by Russell Wilson, the Sandstorms might just be ready to check out this season. Almost mounting a Monday night comeback, he just needed a few more yards or a couple first downs from either Russell Wilson or Austin Ekeler. Well that didn’t happen as Dustin Hopkins kicked the game winning field goal in overtime which ended the final hopes for this team. The win was in reach however, as Singletary and Etienne were left on the bench. If either player started instead of Kareem Hunt, the Sandstorms would have won. Sitting at 1-5, you can’t be feeling good.
Aiyuk (21), Ekeler (16), Butker (12) | Hill (5), Hunt (1)
Benched: Singletary (13), Etienne (12)
SQUATCHES
Welcome to the sub-100 club! Only scoring 81 points, this is cause for concern going forward. Six starters scored in single digits as their quarterbacks plagued them once again. Stafford and waiver wire pickup PJ Walker combined for less than 11 points which gave the Squatches no chance. Finally coming around to starting Tyler Lockett, it was a week too late as he put up two points. Finding themselves at 3-3, look for this team to make a move.
Elliot (17) | Stafford (9), Walker (1), Lockett (2), San Francisco defense (-2)
AVALANCHE
Hit the panic alarm. This team hasn’t cleared 108 since week two and the outlook looks bleak for the season. Outside the New England defense, no one scored more than 16 while five starters scored in single digits. If anyone needs to make a move it’s this team and it needs to happen immediately.
New England defense (17) | Dalton (12), Dobbins (1), Mostert (5)
GWW
Scoring just north of 100 points, GWW lost their fourth game of the year and sit at 2-4. The good news for this team is that they spent $70 FAAB on Ken Walker III but every dollar was worth it after Walker put up 19. Fournette also scored 19 but everyone else was either average or bad. The week didn’t start out great with Carson Wentz on Thursday with three points so we should have seen this outcome coming. Look for a trade out of the GWW camp this week.
Fournette (19), Walker III (19) | Wentz (3), Higgins (5), Green Bay defense (3)
THUNDER
Having no starting running backs at the beginning of the week, the Thunder rolled out Henderson and Boone in their running back positions by the time Sunday rolled around which contributed to the lowest projected team total for the second week in a row with less than 120. They didn’t make it there only scoring 110. Outside of Matt Ryan, the rest of the lineup was bad including McKenzie (0), Boone (0), Williams (1) and Maher (5). The loss takes them to 2-4 on the season.
Ryan (33) | McKenzie (0), Boone (0), Williams (1), Maher (5)
Sub 100 Club (on the season)
