HCTM Steals Win from HSG in Final Minutes of Monday Night

WINNERS

HCTM 146.96

There was yet another thrilling matchup, this time it was HCTM who got 21.44 points from Derek Carr on Monday night to steal the comeback win against HSG. Thanks to 27 points from Nick Chubb and 28 points from Breece Hall this team won by 32 hundredths of a point which was not the smallest margin of victory this season shockingly. It’s their third win of the year and they’re on their way to try to repeat as champions.

Chubb (27), Andrews (16), Hall (28) | Harris (1)

GWW 143.32

GalensWinningWinners got back on the board this week with a win over the Everglade Squatches. Carson Wentz, Leonard Fournette, Dalvin Cook and the Buffalo Bills defense were all prime contributors while the other half of the roster scored in single digits including Tee Higgins who scored zero. They should be happy these Squatches didn’t start Tyler Lockett otherwise they would have been dealt a devastating loss on Monday night. GWW moves to 2-3 on the year.

Wentz (25), Fournette (28), Cook (36), Bill defense (21) | Higgins (0), Jeudy (6), Woods (4)

Misfits 129.37

The Misfits got their third win of the year with a win over the Sandstorms. Patrick Mahomes led the way along with Cooper Kupp in the 130-point performance. Seven out of the ten starters scored less than 12 points but the most questionable move this team made was dropping DK Metcalf for DJ Moore late last week. Let’s hope that one works out.

Mahomes (38), Kupp (19)

Icecaps 138.76

The Tundra Icecaps also picked up their third win with a win over the Avalanche thanks to Rhamondre Stevenson, Stefon Diggs and Daniel Carlson leading the way in the beat down. Waiver wire pickup David Njoku paid off with 11 points and I should also mention that they were the beneficiaries from the DK Metcalf drop from the Misfits. They move to 3-2 this season.

Diggs (18), Stevenson (21), Carlson (17) | Dillon (4)

Piranhas 150.14

The Amazon Piranhas put up 150 points and got the league most 4th win of the season. They can thank Josh Allen and the Dallas defense for that one with Josh Allen scoring 44 points and the Dallas defense scoring 25. Luckily it didn’t matter but they benched Gabe Davis and Jeff Wilson Jr. but at 4-1 this team is in good shape.

Allen (44), McCaffrey (18), Cowboys defense (25) | Everett (0)

Benched: Davis (29), Wilson Jr. (22)

LOSERS

HSG 146.64

On the flip side Hurts so Good took a dramatic loss after holding a 21-point lead going into Monday night. They watched Derek Carr send them home after leading for the entire Monday night game only to lose by 32 hundredths of a point. Jalen Hurts, Derrick Henry, Saquon Barkley and Justin Tucker all had really good outputs but they can only blame themselves as they benched Amari Cooper. His 16 points on the bench would have earned them the win but instead they moved to 2-3 on the year.

Hurts (30), Henry (28), Barkley (17), Tucker (17) | Waddle (3), St. Brown (2)

Benched: Cooper (16)

Squatches 123.83

Things looked awful for the Everglade Squatches after Sunday. Seven players had scored less than 12 points outside of the San Francisco defense with 23 yet things would change on Monday night. They got just south of 30 points from Josh Jacobs and 27 from Travis Kelce in what appeared to be a blowout going into Monday night but turned out to be a matchup that came down to one player. If the Squatches had started Tyler Lockett instead of Brandin Cooks they could have completed the most improbable comeback in the history of the league but instead they moved to 3-2 on the year.

Jacobs (29), Kelce (27), 49ers defense (23) | Stafford (11), Goff (5), Cooks (2)

Benched: Lockett (23)

Sandstorms 119.30

The Sandstorms picked up their fourth loss on the year but it was over after Thursday night. They started Nyheim Hines who exited with an injury and Russell Wilson who ended with eight points. After recently trading for Tom Brady who played a good game (except a roughing the passer penalty) along with first round pick Austin Ekeler who went off again for 34 points it was not enough. Davante Adams tried to help on Monday night by scoring 24, but otherwise seven starters scored less than nine points.

Ekeler (34), Adams (24) | Wilson (8), Hockenson (0), Hines (0)

Avalanche 84.58

Easily the worst team in the week scoring 84 points, the Avalanche do not have a lot to look forward to. Outside of Alvin Kamara and Marquise Brown, six players scored less than seven points including four players scoring less than two. They left the New England defense’s 31 points on the bench but that wouldn’t have helped. After this week, the Avalanche should probably make a move. They also joined the sub 100 club for the first time this season.

Kamara (21), Brown (15) | Dalton (12), Kirk (1), Waller (0), Yoo (1), Chargers defense (0)

Thunder 125.33

Tropical Thunder exceeded expectations this week but still fell flat against the Piranhas. Four players scored over 16 points including Mike Williams and Dameon Pierce. They started Isiah Pacheco but he got one carry for zero yards. Then again I am not sure what you expect from the third string Chiefs running back. The Thunder sit at 2-3.

Jefferson (22), Williams (16), Pierce (20) | Pacheco (0), Kittle (3), Vikings defense (4)

Sub 100 Club

Avalanche, Sandstorms, Misfits, Icecaps, Thunder (twice)
