We have finally entered the postseason in the BBL! The Icecaps, Winston, Sandstorms, Squatches, GWW and HSG all will be playing for a Championship this season. The two quarterfinal matchups this week will feature the Sandstorms against HSG and the Squatches against GWW.
On to the recaps!
Sahara Sandstorms 176.84 – 121.89 Hurts so Good
SANDSTORMS- The Sandstorms again had an incredible week to finish out the regular season scoring over 176 points, the most this week. Everyone up and down the roster came to play to give the Sandstorms plenty of momentum going into the postseason. Joe Burrow, Cooper Kupp, Najee Harris, Alvin Kamara, and the Dallas defense all scored over 22 points for the dominating effort. They have a first-round matchup with HSG next week and will try to do the same thing again the same team.
Great Starts: Joe Burrow (26), Cooper Kupp (19), Najee Harris (23), Alvin Kamara (22), Dallas defense (29)
Benched: Melvin Gordon (24)
HSG- Even with the high score from the Sandstorms, this wasn’t an impressive week for HSG. Other than the quarterback position, no position player scored more than 15 points, which was kicker Justin Tucker. They are going to need to figure it out in the next week, because they have a first-round matchup with this same Sandstorm team next week.
Good Starts: Justin Tucker (15)
Bad Starts: Travis Kelce (3), Buffalo defense (6)
Amazon Piranhas 176.36 – 135.35 GalensWinningWinners
PIRANHAS- The Piranhas exploded for 176 points to earn their fifth win of the season. The 176 points were actually the second most on the weekend. Dalvin Cook started the week off with a bang scoring 35 points on Thursday night to set the stage for the weekend. They also got two more 30+ outputs from quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers. They will take next week off and resume playing in the consolation bracket in week 16.
Great Starts: Tom Brady (34), Aaron Rodgers (37), Dalvin Cook (35)
Bad Starts: Foster Moreau (1), Jeff Wilson Jr. (6)
GWW- Quarterbacks plagued GWW this week as Derek Carr and Lamar Jackson combined for 13 points. Jackson also left the game with an injury, which isn’t ideal for a team looking to make a deep playoff run. Otherwise, seven of their other eight starters scored over 12 points and contributed to the solid weekend. They have clinched a first-round matchup with the Squatches this week.
Great Starts: Mike Evans (16), Leonard Fournette (20), George Kittle (22), Harrison Butker (15)
Bad Starts: Antonio Gibson (2)
Benched: Tyler Lockett (22)
All I do is Winston 171.00 – 108.29 Everglade Squatches
WINSTON- Winston put over 170 points in a convincing win against the Squatches, thanks in part to Josh Allen’s 40 points and James Conner’s 25. Aaron Jones and Mark Andrews also helped, each scoring 19 as the Winston ran away with this one. They have clinched a first-round bye and will play again in week 16.
Great Starts: Josh Allen (40), Aaron Jones (19), Mark Andrews (19), James Conner (25), Matt Prater (17)
Bad Starts: Taylor Heinicke (9)
SQUATCHES- Another forgettable week for the Squatches, only scoring 108 points. Other than Justin Herbert, this team will need to fix the other parts of the roster, as the nine other players combined for 77 points. Half the roster scored single digits including zero from Terry McLaurin. They get a first-round matchup against GWW this week.
Great Start: Justin Herbert (31)
Bad Starts: Dak Prescott (8), Terry McLaurin (0), Marquise Brown (4), Josh Jacobs (5)
Philly Special 136.21 – 124.19 Tropical Thunder
PHILLY- Only needing three points on Monday from Odell Beckham Jr. to win, they got 14 and slipped by the Thunder. They got solid performances from Ja’Marr Chase, Saquon Barkley, and the Green Bay defense in the win. Bringing their record to 7-7, unfortunately, Philly fell short of the playoff picture by 22 points to HSG. They will play again in week 16 in the consolation bracket.
Great Starts: Ja’Marr Chase (20), Saquon Barkley (17), Green Bay defense (17)
Bad Starts: DK Metcalf (4), Dalton Schultz (0)
THUNDER- The Thunder will end the regular season on a five-game losing streak and finish with a 5-9 record. Ben Roethlisberger, Clyde Edwards-Helaire and the Kansas City defense played well but could not bail out the rest of the lineup. The seven remaining starters all scored less than 11 points. In what was a forgettable regular season, they will look to finish out the year strong in the consolation bracket starting in week 16.
Great Starts: Ben Roethlisberger (31), Clyde Edwards-Helaire (16), Kansas City defense (23)
Bad Starts: Cam Newton (10), Ezekiel Elliot (8), Marquez Valdes-Scantling (2), Tyer Bass (7)
Tundra Icecaps 152.70 – 68.48 Hipple’s Heroes
ICECAPS- The Icecaps rolled through the Heroes to move to 10-4 and clinched the overall number one seed going into the playoffs. Four players scored over 21 points, which alone would have been enough to beat the Heroes. Because I have to mention it, kicker Daniel Carlson scored less than two points. They will play again in week 16 after the bye week.
Great Starts: Taysom Hill (27), DaVante Adams (25), Javonte Williams (21)
Bad Starts: Daniel Carlson (1)
HEROES- They didn’t score over 70 points. Davis Mills was a nice Sunday morning pickup. They finished the season with a 3-11 record and averaged a meager 102 points per week on the season.
Solid Start: Davis Mills (20)
Bad Starts: Trevor Lawrence (1), Cortland Sutton (0), Chris Boswell (2)

Around the League
The smack talk is certainly heating up during this first week of the postseason especially in the Squatches, GWW matchup. Ezra Gorman had this to say about opponent Galen Fitzkee in their upcoming quarterfinal matchup.
“The loss that Galen is going to suffer this weekend will be the sort of loss
that will make him question if he even wants to keep doing fantasy football.
He will reevaluate his entire life.”
Oh man, get ready for an exciting weekend. Good luck to all the teams in the playoffs!
Cheers!
