Merry Christmas Eve! The time has arrived to crown the next champion of Books Boss League. Welcome to week 16, the final week of our fantasy football season. The Tundra Icecaps will battle Wentz upon a Time for both teams’ first ever Title.
Here is a recap of last week’s semifinal matchups.
Tundra Icecaps 204.05 – 133.80 Everglade Squatches
The Icecaps proved why they shouldn’t be taken lightly as they destroyed the Squatches scoring over 204 points. Justin Herbert (34) and Darren Waller (24) helped the Icecaps jump out to a 70-point lead after Thursday and never fell behind again. Kyler Murray (41), Calvin Ridley (25) and Jonathan Taylor (18) also put-up great performances to lead them to a victory.
The Squatches were outmatched this time as they only scored 133 points. Led by Patrick Mahomes (35), Travis Kelce (16) and the Bills Defense (20), it wasn’t enough to combat the five starters who scored single digits. It was a good run for the Squatches, who will play for the third-place game this week.
Wentz upon a Time 163.11 – 161.48 GalensWinningWinners
As the score would suggest, this matchup had it all, with Wentz upon a Time winning a thriller against GWW. It wasn’t without drama though, as Wentz needed a stat correction to change the outcome. Being down a little over a point after Sunday night, a 3am stat correction courtesy of yahoo added 2 more points to the Ravens defense to give Wentz the win and a berth in the championship. Wentz had a commendable roster of starts, with Lamar Jackson (37), David Montgomery (32) and that Ravens defense (23) who all contributed strongly for Wentz.
Well, that’s a tough way to lose. After appearing to win by four tenths of a point after Sunday night, a stat correction halted any talks of a third championship for GWW. Still able to score over 160 points, GWW leaned on Deshaun Watson (31), DeAndre Hopkins (24) and Derrick Henry (25). It was a disappointing end to a great season, which saw the most points scored in the league during the regular season. They will play the Squatches for third place this week.
CHAMPIONSHIP PREVIEW

Tundra Icecaps vs. Wentz upon a Time
In their only previous matchup in week 13, Tundra Icecaps won 141.78 – 139.80.
The Icecaps come into this matchup as the overall number one seed and the favorite to win. The Icecaps desperately need this win to prove all the doubters wrong. After a championship appearance in 2017, the Icecaps have put together two strong playoff performances the last two seasons, but roster mismanagement cost them two potential titles. Will this year be any different? The Icecaps are looking for their first championship in franchise history.
Wentz upon a Time is heading into this matchup as the three seed, after knocking off the second seeded GWW. This season was Wentz’s first time in the semifinals, and now first championship appearance. After never being able to string together a championship caliber roster for six seasons, Wentz found success this season. Wentz is looking for their first championship as well in franchise history.
Consolation Bracket
Tropical Thunder beat Philly Special in a high scoring matchup 189.23 – 165.69 to claim fifth place this season. Josh Allen (44) and Ryan Tannehill (45) led the way for the Thunder. The Sahara Sandstorms beat the Prairie Dawgz 131.56 – 101.63 to move on in the consolation bracket. Matt Ryan scored 37 points for the Sandstorms and Dalvin Cook contributed 26.
The Amazon Piranhas beat Fresh Prince of Helaire 136.19 – 101.03 to also move on in the consolation bracket. Jalen Hurts scored a massive 47 points for the Piranhas.
