Welcome to the semifinal matchups for week 15! The Squatches and Wentz upon a Time won convincingly last week to move them into the final four this week. Here is a recap of those matchups.
Everglade Squatches 173.66 – 129.43 Tropical Thunder
The Squatches were too much for the Thunder, as they rolled past them easily scoring over 173 points. Starting with 23 points with Cam Akers on Thursday night, the Squatches never looked back. They got an additional 22 from Travis Kelce, 20 from the Bills defense and 25 from Kareem Hunt. The 173 points were the second most points scored this season for the Squatches.
Tropical Thunder was outmatched in this contest, scoring south of 130 points. They had four players score single digits and had no position player other than quarterback exceed 17.50 points. The Thunder will play for the fifth-place game this week.
Wentz upon a Time 178.26 – 125.19 Philly Special
Wentz scored their highest point total this season scoring over 178 points. They even did this despite their kicker and defense combining for 3.5 points. Lamar Jackson (40), Russell Wilson (31), Miles Sanders (26) and David Montgomery (24) gave Philly Special no chance to win. Wentz is starting to become the team they were at the beginning of the season when they started out 5-1.
This was Philly Special’s first ever playoff appearance and they were clearly ill equipped. Half of their starters scored single digits on their way to just over 125 points. They did start the Cowboys defense (25) and Stefon Diggs (22), but it was no match for Wentz. Philly Special will play the Thunder this week for fifth place.
On to the semifinal matchups!
Tundra Icecaps vs. Everglade Squatches
In their only previous meeting in week five, the Squatches dominated 198-126. However, in that week five meeting, the Squatches got 36 points from Justin Herbert and 15 from Jonathan Taylor. This is relevant because Herbert and Taylor are now on the Icecaps roster. The Icecaps will look for the aforementioned Justin Herbert and Jonathan Taylor, along with Kyler Murray, Alvin Kamara, Austin Ekeler and Darren Waller to carry them to their second ever championship appearance. Let’s hope Dionte Johnson doesn’t drop the Icecaps chances of winning.
The Squatches are coming off a strong win last week and will look to continue that this week. The Squatches plan to sweep the season series against the Icecaps with a win. After starting 2-5, the Squatches won five of their last six, peaking at the right time. They will turn to Patrick Mahomes, Taysom Hill, Kareem Hunt, Cam Akers, and Travis Kelce in order to pull off the upset this week against the Icecaps. The Squatches are looking for their third championship appearance.
GalensWinningWinners vs. Wentz upon a Time
In their two previous matchups, GWW won both convincingly, the first being 164-129, while the other was a blowout 209-97. GWW will have to set a lineup once again without Christian McCaffrey, as he is doubtful to play this weekend. They will turn to Deshaun Watson, Jared Goff, DeAndre Hopkins, AJ Brown and Derrick Henry to put them in their third championship appearance, albeit first in the last four seasons.
Wentz is coming off a strong win and is in their first ever semifinal appearance. After starting off strong at 5-1, Wentz dropped five of their last seven, but regained form last week in a win or go home situation. Wentz will once again rely on Lamar Jackson, Russell Wilson, DK Metcalf, Michael Thomas, Miles Sanders and David Montgomery to lead them past GWW. Wentz will hope to clinch their first ever championship berth after a win this week.
Consolation Bracket
Four teams battle for the best of the worst this season, as their matchups are listed below.

In their only previous matchup in week 12, the Sandstorms won 136-128.
Fresh Prince of Helaire vs. Amazon Piranhas
In their only previous matchup in week 10, Fresh Prince won 115-74.
