Welcome to the playoffs! Some thought we would not make it this far, but here we are entering the quarterfinals in week 14. In three short weeks, Books Boss League will crown a champion for 2020!
Since not all teams have a matchup this week, the write up will follow a little different format, highlighting last week’s matchups and then progressing to the two quarterfinal matchups on hand.
Week 13 Results
Tropical Thunder 174.20 – 152.31 Sahara Sandstorms
After averaging 107 points the last two weeks, the Thunder picked an excellent time to have their highest scoring week of the season, putting up over 174 points to clinch a spot in the playoffs. Led by Josh Allen (41), Ryan Tannehill (35), and the Seattle defense (19), the Thunder had nine starters score over 10.40 points.
Tropical Thunder ended the regular season in fifth place at 7-6 with 1839.18 points scored.
Unfortunately, the Sandstorms could not combat the well-balanced attack of Tropical Thunder. They scored over 152 points thanks to Derek Carr (39), Dalvin Cook (23) and Nick Chubb (18). The Sandstorms had four starters score in single digits, which proved to be costly in the matchup. The Sandstorms were eliminated from playoff contention with the loss.
The Sahara Sandstorms ended the regular season in seventh place at 7-6 with 1811.15 points scored.
Tundra Icecaps 141.78 – 139.80 Wentz upon a Time
The Icecaps clinched the overall number one seed with the win over Wentz and also became the first team to ten wins. Normally reliant on Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert, the Icecaps only got a combined 26 points from those two starters but found help from other outlets. Tight end of the week Darren Waller (35) along with 16 points from Alvin Kamara helped the Icecaps scrape by Wentz upon a Time.
The Tundra Icecaps ended the regular season in first place at 10-3 with 2004.49 points scored.
It came down to the wire late Tuesday night for Wentz, when Lamar Jackson (32) and the Ravens defense (9) chipped away at a 43-point deficit to the Icecaps. Jackson and the Ravens def. came up short with only 41 points to put an end to any come back efforts. David Montgomery (25) and Justin Jefferson (20) also heavily contributed to the 139-point performance from Wentz.
Wentz upon a Time ended the regular season in third place at 7-6 with 1880.78 points scored.
Everglade Squatches 116.00 – 108.16 Prairie Dawgz
To an otherwise horrid week scoring wise, the Squatches came out a winner after only scoring 116 points. The 116 points were the second lowest output on the week, only ahead of their opponent the Prairie Dawgz who scored 108. The Squatches can thank the schedulers on this one, because a loss this week would have eliminated them from playoff contention. Patrick Mahomes (24), Taysom Hill (31) and Travis Kelce (22) are the only things holding this roster together at this point.
The Everglade Squatches ended the regular season in fourth place at 7-6 with 1863.59 points scored.
Just terrible. If the Prairie Dawgz would have fielded any type of competent roster they could have won this game. Six starters scored five points or less. But some things never change as this franchise missed the playoffs yet again.
The Prairie Dawgz ended the regular season in last place (tenth) at 2-11 with 1622.28 points.
Amazon Piranhas 160.41 – 143.49 Philly Special
It was too little too late for the Piranhas who put up another impressive performance this week earning their sixth win on the year. Cam Newton (28), Philip Rivers (25), and Chris Carson (20) paved the way for the Piranhas to score over 160 points. The Piranhas were eliminated from playoff contention.
The Amazon Piranhas ended the regular season in eighth place at 6-7 with 1873.98 points scored.
Philly Special ended the regular season with a loss at the hands of the Piranhas after scoring over 140 points. Led by Kirk Cousins (26), Sam Darnold (25) and Aaron Jones (23), it was not enough. They are glad they survived as they beat out the Sandstorms by 21 points for the sixth and final playoff spot.
Philly Special ended the regular season in sixth place at 7-6 with 1832.26 points scored.
Fresh Prince of Helaire 131.05 – 118.33 GalensWinningWinners
The same can be said for Fresh Prince, as they were able to knock off GWW after they scored over 131 points. Led by Aaron Rodgers (31) and Davante Adams (26), Fresh Prince won their fourth game of the season. They were eliminated from playoff contention.
Fresh Prince of Helaire ended the regular season in ninth place at 4-9 with 1811.05 points scored.
GWW lost but was still able to retain the number two seed and that first round bye. Jared Goff (29) and the Miami defense (23) were the lead scorers for this team. Six starters scored in single digits, but it does not matter at this point as GWW is playoff bound for the first time in three seasons.
GalensWinningWinners ended the regular season in second place at 8-5 with 2025.09 points scored.
On to the matchups!
QUARTERFINAL MATCHUPS

In their only previous matchup in week 12, Wentz won 147-126.
Wentz will look to lean on Russell Wilson, Lamar Jackson, DK Metcalf, Justin Jefferson and David Montgomery this week.

4 Everglade Squatches vs. Tropical Thunder 5

The Squatches will once again rely on Patrick Mahomes, Taysom Hill, and Travis Kelce to lead them to the semifinals next week.
